Venerable Radio brings the public one of the largest databases of vintage recordings from around the world. Our focus is to expose adventurous listeners to an array of different sounds and styles from the past in a non-commercial format. Our database of close to 60,000 titles is completely searchable and requestable!

With the eventual closing of the reissue site Venerable Music, we've had to re-configure the radio station as a stand alone entity moving into the future. We are hoping to change our primary funding stream from reissue sales to listener donations. Each month we will set a donation goal to cover our baseline broadcasting expenses. This can be monitored on the new radio Now Playing interface. As donations are made, we'll calculate them on the Donations Received line of the graphic. Any funds going over and above our goal will be used to add more music to our ever-growing playlist! We will occasionally need to upgrade server components to keep the station running smoothly.

You can now listen to Venerable Radio on your iPhone or Andriod smart phone! To open the stream on your mobile device, you will need to open your phone or iPads web browser and enter the URL www.venerableradio.com. From there, click the notes on the top right of the screen to tune in.
Note: If Android users have trouble receiving audio, you will need to install an audio player/plugin like StreamFurious or ServeStream.
